Back in the days before music videos became ubiquitous, occasionally monster hits Donna Sommer's like I Feel Love or Elvis' Way Down would hog the number one spot for weeks. And by the Ten Commandments Of Pop, The Number One Shall Always Be Played On TOTP, even when the artist is dead (like Elvis) or elsewhere in the world (like Donna). This means we end up with multiple Legs & Co. appearances on successive weeks, dancing to the same number. We;ve already got one example on the blog from 21 July 77 here, and another from the christmas show here. Thanks to the generosityof Bucksby, here's another one: from the end of the show on 11 Aug 1977, introduced and, concluded by Kid Jensen.
This would be their fourth appearance dancing to the same song, and though the girls are nothing but professional, you can sense that the producers, and probably Flick too, are getting thoroughly sick of having to come up with a new way to present the same song. So we get a screen displaying stills of DS, cameras flitting about round the studio audience, and Legs & Co on a podium in the background, with Sue off somewhere else dancing with our old pal Floyd.

Can i spy our friend Floid once again on this dancing with Sue? What is it with this guy, how come he always got the gig with the girls.
Thanks Bucksby/YMG. Well I think Floid and Sue are the highlights here. Pity we don't get to see much of the "Group of Five" and whatever is the usually reliable Kid doing standing in front of Patti at the end??
