Here's a second performance from Legs & Co. at the British Rock & Pop Awards 1979: dancing to a cheesy big-band version of Night Fever during the end credits. I think this routine, and the previous one, both serve as examples of how important camera direction is to TV choreography. Clearly, for her work on TOTP, Flck had a good working relationship with the director and the camera operators, and had imput into the camera-work and editing. Just as clearly, in these routines she had little or no input. As a result, with no idea where the cameras would be, she's forced to choreograph the performance for the stage, directing the focus towards the audience, rather than the cameras. This results in an "ITV-variety-show" effect, where the cameras seem to be documenting a stage performance, not makinga TV show.
Before the many Flick Fans (aFlickcionados?) complain, I'm not putting Flick down here: I'm just descrbing the less-than-ideal circumstances she was sometimes forced to work in.
My thanks once again to PattiforPM for sharing yet another rare clip with us.

I doubt if you'll be getting a knock on the door from the Flickanista YMG :) I'd say yours was a fair analysis of the situation. But as it was a stage performance for the invited audience, which just happened to be televised, the dynamic is inevitably different from TOTP. Another nice morsel for us Legs fans so many thanks guys.
I get a sense of déja vu watching this performance...
Legs & Co, very much the highlight of a bland awards show. Yes this is another nice addition to our brilliant collection of Legs dances we have on OFTDs and it made enjoyable watching, so thanks guys for this.
Yes these Ladies brighten up any event. Let's try to get all their work on here to admire.
Ok call me Mr picky but why at the beginning of this clip does it say in the on screen graphics " British Rock & Pop Awards 1978", but at the end of the credits it says BBC MCMLXXIX which translates to 1979. Surely even the Beeb would have shown an awards show during the year it was filmed ! Could be the answer is strightforward, if so, please enlighten me.
Ryan, I believe the show was broadcast on April 11, 1979, hence the date at the end of the credits, but the awards related to musical achievements from the previous year hence the title.
