Hot Gossip - Naughty Naughty

Here's the last clip of a Hot Gossip performance from their return to Kemmy Everett's show, in 1986. They're dancing to their own version of John Parr's Naughty Naughty.

A slight return to their pervy outfit roots here: but perhaps because this is an auntie beeb show, the whole feeling is less dark, and more playful: or maybe it's just an eighties thing.

This is it. The LAST EVER performance of Hot Gossip on television, I do believe. How did they bow out?
I'll post my comments later.

A good one to go out on. Almost up there with 'Purple Rain' and 'Control' but not quite. A creative routine with a great amount of variety in the dance moves here, from the deliberately mechanical to the balletic twirls and high kicks. Lots of athleticism and gymnastic moves too, that have seemed to be more of a trademark of Arlene's Phillip's Hot Gossip choreography.
Also back to their trademark outfits of PVC and stockings in a pink and black colour scheme. I note that with the high heels and big 80s hair the girls are taller than the boys! I always thought the guys in HG were really short anyway (Clearly television does make people a lot taller anyway). Is that Floidy singing? More like miming to John Parr.
Many thanks to YMG for tracking down all these HG routines and posting them on the blog. It was a joy to watch these performances, and this one from December 1986 sadly draws the curtain on the HG era. But they had a great run of the best part of a decade.

Yes this is another of HGs better efforts I think. More dance moves and less posing. Love when the girls line up.

I like this swansong with some good moves and an interesting concept for the set. And, at last, a hot rod for Amanda to get her leg over.

This one is FANTASTIC, full of snap
pizazz, self belief,controlled
violence, really sharp moves and
a set that FC would have died for.
Arleen it seems was the " Go to "
girl for these slick stage productions. This ranks for me along side " Animals " and " Boys
and Girls " The girls stockings etc
are not the main thing in these ones, it's the camera work and choreography that matters, and here
you see THE BEST.
