This rouine was first posted long ago by ilovelulu, before I began including embedded video foe each post: so I thought it was time I added a watchable version.

Pan's People - Everything's Tuesday
Here's another clip I found on YouTube a while ago: Pan's People dancing to Chairman of the Board's Everything's Tuesday. Thanks to katy miss queenie, who sent me a copy of this routime recently.
I'm no expert on the fashion scene in 1971, so I've no idea if there's a correct term for these trousers they're wearing. Or the whole suit, even.

Legs & Co. - Casanova
Here's another great clip from PattiforPM. Thanks! Legs & Co. dance to Coffee's Casanova. I can't quite put my finger on it, but there's something about these 18th century outfits tha doesn't seem absolutely authentic. I'm probably being overly fussy, but there must be sometiny detail that doesn't ring true. But hey, it's Top of the Pops, not a historical drama.

Legs & Co - Back to The Sixties Part 2
Here's another clip from late in Legs & Co's TOTP period: leading the audience dancing, while whichever out-of-work actors Tight Fit's producers had hired that week mime to Back to The Sixties (part 2 I believe).

Legs & Co. - Green Door
The Gods were smiling on Shakin' Stevens in the early eighties: after struggling through the seventies as a minor Rock'n'Roll revivalist with his band The Sunsets, suddenly he was a regularly charting pop star: and more importantly, whenever Le Groover Gallois appearing on top of the Pops, as likely as not he got to dance with Legs & Co. Here they are dancing to Green Door.
Lucky Shaky. From TOTP 13/08/1981, although from Mike Read's presemtation surrounded by Zoo-mbies, I'd guess this is from a Christmas 1981 show.

Pan's People - Running Away
Here's a vintage filmed-on-location routine, from Pan's People, dancing to Sly & the Family Stone's Running Away. They're having fun in a deserted department store: it's a bit like "Dawn of The Dead" without the zombies.
Thanks to new contributor Katy Miss Queenie for sending a clip of theis routine.

Legs & Co. - Stars on 45 (excerpt)
Here's a brief excerpt from a Legs & Co. routine, dancing to Stars on 45 by, er, Stars on 45. Kindly supplied by PattiforPM.
People are still reporting problems with videobam: so I've switched video servers, to YouTube.

Pan's People - Green River
This classic Pan's People performance, to Creedence Clearwater Revival's Green River, appears briefly on YouTube every now and again. Unfortunately, I've only got this ropey low-resolution version, with an egotistical text overlay. Begging mode: Can any of you kind folks out in Internet-land supply a better quality version? You would incur the undying gratitude of myself, and many other regular OFTDers.

Legs & Co. - What's On You Mind
Many thanks as ever to PattiforPM, who sent me this clip of Legs & Co. dancing to George Benson's What's On You Mind. Introduced by Richard Skinner on 12 February 1981, probably his first chance on telly to wear the jumper his Auntie knitted for him for Christmas.

Legs & Co. - Startrax Club Disco
Song merely a patchwork of old hits? Check. Anita's there? Check. Lulu's hair? Long. Rosemary's? Frizzy. We must be in 1981. At least Legs & Co. are centre-stage here, not jammed between band and audience, as they often were in this miserable year.
Highlights? This being Bee Gees melody, when Tragedy turns up, Lulu grabs a cheir and a little pierrot hat and does a quick burlesque version of the routine they performed to it previously. And when Gill grabs a guy out of the audience "at random", she luckily just happens to get someone with a professional dancer's poise, who seems to have rehearsed the routine.
Update: Broken video clip removed: Andybee has reposted the clip here.
Thanks to Amy for the clip.

Legs & Co. - Chi Mai

Hello everybody. It's historic Liberal role-model David Lloyd George here. I'm happy to see the Liberals doing so well in a coalition with the Tories, again: while the country's at war abroad, too. Or something. But that's enough of politics: up here in Liberal Heaven, nobody cares about how I was Prime Minister once. Or even that I invented the Welfare State. Oh no. So what makes Asquith, Gladstone and Campbell-Bannerman jealous of me? Just two things:
- My TV biography series' theme tune was written by Ennio Morricone, who wrote Fistful of Dollars and The Good The Bad & The Ugly: which makes me a bit like Clint Eastwood.
- That theme tune, Chi Mai, was danced to by Legs & Co. on Top of the Pops. They also danced to tunes from Saturday Night Fever and Grease. So that makes me a bit like John Travolta. Or maybe Stockard Channing.
These outfits are rather racey, don't you think? Some of those skirt hems are two or three inches from the ground! I'm pretty sure I caught a glimpse of Miss Hammond's ankle once or twice.
Young Mister Grace would like me to thank Amy for supplying the clip.

Legs & Co. - As the Time Goes By
Let's go back to 1981. Foppish white boys with floppy fringes were playing funky guitars in various post-punk bands, like Funkapolitan here. And Legs & Co. were increasingly being relegated to background dance-leaders on Top of the Pops.

Legs & Co. - Hot Dog
Here's a rare solo appearance for Gill: chewing gum, and sitting on Shakin' Stevens' Hot Dog stand.
Thanks again to regular contributor PattiforPM, who sent this clip.

Legs & Co. - Spirit of the Radio
The boffins at TOTP go overboard with their video trickery for this performance, as Legs & Co. dance to Spirit of the Radio by Canadian prog giants Rush.
Update: The embedded clip is broken, but there's higher-quality version on the blog here anyway.
Thanks to Suefan for sending this clip.

Mary in Pan's People
Mary, from the last TOTP line-up of Pan's People*, is the focus of the latest compilation from HotLegsPansRuby.
Thanks to HotLegsPansRuby for all his work.
Legs & Co. - Stray Cat Strut
There have be too many clips with Legs and Co as mere supplemental performers on this blog of late. Here's a welcome return to centre stage, from PattiforPM (thanks as ever): dancing to The Stray Cats' Stray Cat Strut. Featuring lots of denim and faux leopard skin, and a fine cartoon-style prop fish skeleton.
Priceless lyrics:
Get a show thrown at me from a mean old man
Get my dinner from a garbage can.

Legs & Co. - Lay Your Love On Me version 3
Here's a third and final version of Sue's jiving performance with the little bloke from Racey.
Thanks to Amy for sending me the clip (and Kace for giving her a hand). While it's always great to see Sue perform, if I ever have to hear this tune again as long as I live, it'll be to soon.
Update February 5 2013: I've been fixing embedded video on all three LYLOM clips: I've checked dozens of Racey clips on YouTube and elsewhere: this song will haunt me to my grave now.

Legs & Co. - Endless Love
Here's an almost-solo performance from Lulu, dancing with some bloke named Jeremy, to Endless Love by Diana Ross and Lionel Richie. Apologies for the ropey picture quality.
In fact I'm starting my new Could you do better? campaign. If anyone out there has a better quality version of this video, I'd love to see it, and I'm sure others would too. I've created a simple method for sending video clips (see the bottom of this page.

Legs & Co. - This Ole House
Here's another Legs & Co. performance from 1981, dancing with a bunch of blokes from the audience while Shakin' Stevens sings This Ole House. Is that Floyd dancing with Patti? (Update: No, it's not.) He's certainly a lot better at it than the other blokes.

Legs & Co. - Annie's Song: Sue Solo (again)
We've already had a solo performance by Sue, with James Galway peforming John Denver's Annie's Song posted on this blog. Here's a different performance. The bad news? Sue's on screnn for less time (from 1:31, impatient Sue fans). The good news? When she is in, it's full screen – not an inset, as in the previous post. Same posh frock.
