Here we go again with yet another of those hits medley records that the charts were awash with in the easrly eighties. This time it's Gidea Park's Seasons of Gold, based around a bunch of old Frankie Valli and the Four Seasons hits. Though other medly hits were fairly obviously producer-led, with performing bands only flung together when TOTP called, at least these guys seem to have been a real band. In fact they're still a real band.
Thanks, as ever, to PattiforPM for sending this clip.

This was definately one of the better medleys of 1981 but only got to number 28 in the charts. Think the novelty of the medleys was starting to die off. Same can't be said of Adrian Baker's (Gidea park) backing. I can watch them forever!
Yes this is really one of my favorite "backing" performances with our ladies given much more exposure and deservedly so.
Shame this AB chap couldn't afford the fare to join his colleagues down under. Then we could have concentrated on the dancers in their short shiny robes. Nevertheless, one of the better supporting numbers. Those girls are solid gold and will never be out of season.
Yet another label for Anita, thats 29 now in total, yet she still dosent warrent a circular pic on the Legs & co section of the blog. This needs to be rectified as far as im concerned.
Thats more than Mary and Lee combined for Pans, yet they get a pic. Sorry to make a fuss, but Anita deserves a pic.
This is the new formular, focus on the singer, dont mention the loyal girls and make them share their spot with losers. Beebs final insult, bury them alive in the
ranks of the public - very very
shabby treatment for these super girls. Sad, so sad.
