Legs & Co - Stars on 45

Here's another Stars on 45 "song", concentrating on Abba songs, with Legs & Co dancing behind the Top of the Pops end titles. Generous contributor Bucksby, who sent the clip, says it's Stars on 45 vol 2.

From the 9/7/81 900th ed show. Short but sweet. Where have I seen those costumes before?

I think it's a bit of an insult that the credits obscure the girls' routine. This is one of my favourite shows as it reunites the original presenters.

The girls look absolutely smashing in this tantalizingly brief clip. Shame about the titles but at this stage in their career we had to be grateful for every precious second of Legs & Co. Thanks Bucksby

yes i agree over the credits ,i bet it would have made a brilliant routine if the girls had danced the full song as their main routine ,but saying that if they had not been used for the closing credits that night i doubt micheal hurll would have given them a second spot on the show ,because to me he didnt seem that keen on featuring a dance troupe on his time as producer on totp ,during his time on the show he gradually slowly but surely faded out and ended the regular feature of including a dance troupe to interpertate a song in the charts ,so i personally would prefer to see the credits roll over a dance routine ,than watch some members of the audience trying to catch 5 seconds of claim to fame ,that so very often happened at the end of the show

This is VERY bitter/sweet for me.
When the camera zooms on the girls
their lovely faces LIGHT UP, like
happy children at Christmas because
these girls NEED the exposure only
national TV can bring. I believe it's the main reason they stay slim, train hard, learn the routines
and feel fulfilled as PERFORMERS,
DANCERS and BEAUTIFUL young women.
Their " jobs " were one in a million, but to treat them as
" shop floor workers COMRADE" working out their notice, was then,
and in my view, remains today a TOTAL betrayal. Did the girls know?
I think they must have done, did they mind, i dont know, but i would
like to think they did. As a father
in 2011 with a daughter the same age as Rosie was then, i look at
them ALL and can't help feeling hurt and a little angry that someone should upset and disappoint them so. Am i wrong,
probably, but there it is. The
PUBLIC pays for the BBC, and through them, these girls, but WE
are NEVER asked what WE want, even today.
