Pan's People - Summer Breeze

I'm afraid this is an extremely low quality video clip. but I thought it was worth posting for historical reasons: because this routine marks the first ever appearance of Sue Menhenick on Top of the Pops, dancing with Pan's People to the Isley Brother's Summer Breeze. Unfortunately a combination of moody lighting and the aforementioned crappy video quality means that for most of the clip, it's difficult to tell who's who.

So on behalf of all the Sue fans who regularly read this blog (and there are plenty of them, believe me): Please please please, if anyone out their has a better copy of this performance, please send it in to the blog. They will be eternally grateful. Thank you.

Lump in the throat time for crazy old Sue dudes like me this one. Just imagine a decent copy of this. You get the smallest glimpse of her cherubic smile and her lovely long wavey hair. Please folks search your attics, sheds and cupboards, try to find a better copy, we are talking about the birth of an angel here.
Also while your searching can you look for her 2nd performance which im really interested in- Elton John - Don’t let the sun go down on me. Now id be in dreamland if that one pops up.

A new phase in the life and times of Pans begins. From the 'Classic Pans' which had featured Babs, Cherry, Dee Dee, Louise and Ruth we enter the era of 'Perfect Pans'.

When this historic performance turned up on Youtube a few years ago, another rare compilation came a little later, including this and the Aretha Franklin routine, all in full clear colour. Somebody out there has it. I just wish we could all see it again as it was meant to be seen.
