Johnny Nash - I Can See Clearly Now

A slight diversion: none of the regular dancers appear on this clip of Johnny Nash singing I Can See Clearly Now. So why am I posting it? Watch and see if you can work it out:

The dance troupe are called Les Girls. a play-on-words, since this clip is from Les Dawson's TV show Sez Lez. And if their choreography seems oddly familiar, that's because our own Flick Colby was the choreographer on this show.

Thanks to Jez for pointing this clip out to me.

YMG, this is excellent, very enjoyable watching other 70s birds dancing to stuff straight out of Flicks playbook. I love the OAP coach party in the audience to. I say more of this kinda thing.

Caught up with this at last, a very
FC routine of the subdued kind due
here to the song and the backing
status of the dancers. They all
look very pretty but seemingly
condemned to only their five minutes of fame. Whether Flic could have handled this large a troupe in a more pacy number i doubt or a slow one,"Cavatina" where the greater numbers rob the routine of it's intimicy. One thing
must be true,her growing reputation
at the time seems to have ensured
a constant stream of young dancers
keen to work under her direction.
