Here's a clip to show to anyone who makes the boring "over-literal choreography" complaint about Flick. The routine is definitely narrative, and yes, it deals with the subject matter of the song (Andrew Gold's Lonely Boy); namely sibling rivalry. But nobody's miming the lyrics at any point: instead, Flick has created a routine based around the subject, showing what great creative work she was capable when she got more than a few hours notice.
And Floyd gets a rare namecheck from creepy old Mr. Savile.

One of the top 5 routines i reckon, wonderful song by Andrew, full of pathos for him and me, danced superbly by Patti with Rosie and Gill looking stunning as always, why do they cut these wonderful tracks short, those English Princesses deserve much better. These vids need showing everywhere girls are constrained.
For me, this is a MASTERS class
from Patti and the best " light "
routine she danced in 5 years. Here
she does ballet, roll play, acting
of the highest order, unbelievably
cute AND gymnastics, all in less than 3 mins. Floyd REALLY kicks her
butt AND pulls her bunches. In L&c,
she seems to blossom, not only as
a dancer, but an actress and all round performer too. Her " heavy "
performances which for me also rate a perfect 10 are " You dont bring me flowers ", " Cavatina ",
" My turn ", " Three times a lady "
" The man with the child in his eyes ", and " Kiss you all over ".
ALL of the other girls play the support roll SO well to her here
and complete this definitive L&c
routine. Later, ALL the girls mucked about with their hair,
perms, friz, etc but with Rosie
turning 17, and Gill 18 at this time, their hair is,an "attention"
magnet of the FIRST RANK that crowns and defines these teenage girls at their FINEST. Girls, you
should understand one thing.
If a young man, or ANY man cannot
resist running his hands through
YOUR hair to tenderly hold your
head, you've hit the BULLSEYE.
He is PUTTY, and YOU have won.
