Ruby Flipper - Reggae Like It Used To Be

From Ruby Flipper's second week on TOTP: Sue, Floyd & Lulu dance while Paul Nicholas "sings" his fairly dire Reggae Like It Used To Be. It's all ersatz: an actor playing a singer singing a pop song with reggae overtones, about the lack of "real" reggae". Too much Paul, not enough 'Flipper, if you ask me.

A little of Lulu's just-out-of dance-school nerves are detectable here: at 01:29, she's clearly looking over behind the camera: my guess is that it's Flick Colby, encouraging them and probably acting out the movements too. But I don't mean any criticism here: after all, they've had only a week to devise and rehearse three separate routines.

The big old hairy cornflake DLT gets the chance to dance with sue and lulu and dances like a clown.

This girl singer looks strange, she's dressed up like a large MINT HUMBUG - twit. Not much to see with
the girls on this one, but Floyd
manages to look silly in those boggles. In my opinion, DLT has a
great look for Radio, and thats where he should have stayed, NOBODY
wore chocolate brown trousers, FAR
too open to ridicule.
